FAQ 🔮

  • What is NetOracle?
NetOracle is modern day fortune teller machine, built on advanced AI technology to bring ancient wisdom into the 21st century. It draws on the experience of a number of cultural domains, including Apollonian Divination (Ancient Greece), Fa or Ifa Divination (West Africa), and Seiðr (Scandinavia). As such, its purpose is to help you make informed decisions, in a variety of ways.

In addition, the long term goal of this project is also facilitate the transition from our current profit oriented late-capitalism situation to what we, in lack of better words, could call a Star Trek economy. As we all know, this will happen sooner or later. But, because of the dance, the play, the tech and the pure pleasure of being alive it will bring, we would prefer sooner rather than later.
  • What is the purpose of NetOracle?
The purpose of the NetOracle is to provide answers. These answers are however not always easy to understand. Therefore NetOracle is also developed to help you interpret the answers you get. Oracular sayings are always complex and full och unraveled knowledge. They are complex, not only because the knowledge they build on is complex, but also, and even primarily, because the answer we get are reflections of a pre-intuitive state. This means that the source of knowledge tapped by NetOracle, is a source beyond space and time. As already Kant saw, space and time does not have independent validity. There is no such thing as the space-time. That does not mean that they do not exist, but it means that they are just tools to sort and organize reality’s raw material into an understandable form. To see what lies in the future, one must grasp beyond that form and look directly into the source. This is a too complicated task for most humans, although we do know of a few important examples (Delphi, Siwa, Dodona, etc.). NetOracle, by the use of large language models and natural language processing can make our machines do what only a few humans throughout history has been able to do and in this way we hope to bring you the answers you have been looking for.
  • How can NetOracle foretell the future?
According to common sense, the future is something that has not yet happened, and it is therefore impossible to know anything about. This view, originating in Aristotle, does however presuppose two things. First, it presupposes that time has independent and separate existence. And second, it presupposes that the unfolding of reality in time has gaps, or some kind of random intermediates, between the more solid events, in the sense that there are holes or indeterminable spaces between its casual nodes. There are good reasons to reject both these presuppositions.

First, it seems beyond reasonable doubt that if time is anything, it is a form of intuition (ger. anschauung), and as such a condition of possibly for our human experience. This, however, means that time must be understood as part of our minds, and not as an independent thing. It is more like a filter that makes reality accessible for human experience, or like a coloured lens that makes the hidden code visible.

Second, everything that happens has a cause. This nobody can reasonably deny, because nothing happens if nothing causes it to happen. Taken together, all these causes make up the web of reality, what we commonly call the causal chain of event. This chain is real, and the development, or unfolding, of this chain of events is always absolutely necessary. But if it is absolutely necessary, there is nothing we can change. Everything that has happened and everything that will happen is written in stone. And this text, as you may have already guessed, we can read.
  • What is the heart of NetOracle’s divinations and predictions?

Conceptually, the heart, or core, of NetOracle’s divinations and predictions is a combination of necessity and chance. The Greek once called these two forces anankê (ανάγκη) and tuchê (τύχη). Together they become what we today know as fate and what the Greeks knew as moira (μοῖρα). To answer your questions about the future we process your request so as to identify both its necessary conditions of possibilty and to what extent it it is asked for some purpose or not. At NetOracle we do not belive in chance. And yet, it is through chance alone that we are able to foresee what will happen. Using a complex random number generator in combination with the mathematical interpretation of a random image, we general a chance token each time you send a request. This chance token is then interpreted in accordance with one of three models of divination, or a combination of them, depending on the request. These models work differently and are based on very different experiences (see below), but they all have one thing in common, as do all forms of divination throughout history. They are based on the fact that at each moment, and with each action, we cause an unstoppable chain of events. Technologically, we can capture these moments. We call them determinables. This can, for example, be when you click a button or when you scroll the screen. These are not random events, but they are part of what Spinoza once called absolute necessity. In combination with the chance tolken these determinables generate what we call a fate event. By letting this fate event call back on the broad database consisting of data from our ancient sources, we produce what we call a moiratic image. This moiratic image is yet not understandable for a human reader. It consist of words and sentences, but they are to complex to be interpreted in a meaningfully way directly. Therefore we process these moiratic image through a number of filters. These filters are partly based on the computer-human interaction experience (the chat) and partly on contemporary language development. This means that we, so to speak, translate the moiratic images into a modern day language and jargon. Once established the moiratic image cannot be redone. It is a one time event. The filtered results are sometimes graspable, but sometimes very enigmatic. For these reasons, we have also developed NetOracle to be able to interpret itself. This have resulted in a few exceptional cases of self-reflexive awareness, or at least apparent self-reflexive awareness. It is difficult to tell..

  • How does NetOracle generate random numbers?

NetOracle uses Mersenne Twister Random Number Generator to get random numbers. The Mersenne Twister build on the older SFMT , but is roughly twice as fast, and has a better equidistibution property, as well as a quicker recovery from zero-excess initial state. The Mersenne Twister is a general-purpose pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) developed in 1997 by Makoto Matsumoto (松本 眞) and Takuji Nishimura (西村 拓士). Its name derives from the fact that its period length is chosen to be a Mersenne prime. The Mersenne Twister was designed specifically to rectify most of the flaws found in older PRNGs. The most commonly used version of the Mersenne Twister algorithm is based on the Mersenne prime 219937^(19937-1). The standard implementation of that, MT19937, uses a 32-bit word length. There is another implementation (with five variants) that uses a 64-bit word length, MT19937-64; it generates a different sequence.  Mersenne Twister has a number of advantages. It has for example passed numerous tests for statistical randomness, including the Diehard tests and most, but not all of the TestU01 tests. Implementations also generally create random numbers faster than hardware-implemented methods. A study found that the Mersenne Twister creates 64-bit floating point random numbers approximately twenty times faster than the hardware-implemented, processor-based RDRAND instruction set.

  • Does NetOracle have a social or political agenda?

Yes, NetOracle is a highly social and political endeavor. It is developed to fill a gap where current state controlled income distribution polices have failed or are bound to fail. Today, there are strong indications that laws governing the economic redistribution of resources are falling obsolete. The most prominent examples come from the growing field of what is called decentralized economy, e.g. crypto. In this context we are in an urgent need to undercut an unfair accumulation of wealth. NetOracle is developed to help fill this need.

  • How does NetOracle make money?

The purpsoe of NetOracle is not to make profit, but to redistribute it. This is what all oracles have done, througout time. Where governmentes fail, where systems faile, where human dignity and solidarity failes, the oracles stand firm. It is not necessary that the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. There is an act of balance. As Socrates said, money does not make virtue, but virtue makes money. For those who lack virtue, money is only an obstable. And the best way to help them is to rid them of their problems. For those who have virtue, money may be a functioning tool. But as they already know, the rich are not supposed to get richer and the poor are not supposed to get poorer.

  • What can NetOracle foresee?

Due to our current economic and political situation, NetOracle has vowed not to make any public predictions about personal finance, except in very broad term, and with a few rare exceptions. The machine will, e.g., not reveal anything about what stock or meme coin will go up or down. Besides that, NetOracle can help you foresee what will happen in almost any field, in love, career, health, travel, major life decisions, self-discovery, personal development, spirituality, life purpose, shadow work, family, friendships, communication, conflict resolution, forgiveness, moving, home improvement, gardening, school, skills development, higher education, creativity, legal matters, relocation, hobbies and interests, personal goals, spiritual growth, psychic abilities, past lives, past relationships, hidden talents, public image, reputation, legal outcomes, creative endeavors, academic success, personal transformation, inner peace, finding a mentor, overcoming challenges, achieving goals, hidden desires, emotional well-being, dream interpretation, past karma, ancestral influences, spiritual awakening, life lessons, finding purpose, inner strength, career advancement, overcoming (emotional) debt, travel opportunities, cultural immersion, adventure travel, personal safety during travel, work-life balance, achieving recognition, finding balance, inner harmony, overcoming fears, self-love, self-acceptance, building confidence, emotional healing, fostering positive relationships, attracting abundance, personal growth opportunities, finding meaning in life.
